Who we are

The Development Engagement Lab is led by academics and professionals based at University College London and the University of Birmingham. We work in partnership with a global partner network of development organisations, including NGOs, fundraisers, and donor governments.

Our partners

DEL partners come from across the professional aid and humanitarian sector, including NGOs, nonprofits, government donors, fundraisers, advocacy groups, academic institutions and others. Partners both benefit from and shape DEL research by sharing insights, challenges and bringing hands-on experience delivering aid and fighting global poverty.

Our purpose

DEL is a space for connecting communicators, campaigners, fundraisers, academics, policymakers and practitioners working on development cooperation. We aim to provide a one-stop shop for development professionals who want to create better campaigns and communications using evidence-based research and insights.

Our ethos

We believe that building public support for sustainable development is more effective when communicators, campaigners, practitioners and researchers work together.
