This presentation explores Canadian public attitudes and engagement with global poverty and development cooperation. This includes comparative data with the publics of the other countries DEL tracks, including Great Britain, France, Germany and the United States. In addition, it segments the Canadian public into categories to better understand how the public engage. Finally, it looks at attitudes toward global development partnerships and shifts in engagement and attitudes in the wake of the cost of living crisis. Data was collected in January and February of 2023, and compares with data collected in 2022, and was the product of a collaboration between the Development Engagement Lab and Global Affairs Canada.
